At Rooted Christian Schools, every child’s story matters. Located in Gulu, Northern Uganda, we provide Christ-centered, holistic education to over 500 students—from nursery to high school. Here, children are not just learning to read, write, and think—they are discovering who they are and who God made them to be. Rooted is more than a school—it’s a community where hope takes root and futures are transformed.
After decades of war that devastated Northern Uganda, the region continues to face deep poverty and systemic challenges. One in four children ages 6–18 are out of school—many forced to work or stay home simply because education is financially out of reach.
The need is overwhelming—but hope is rising.
Rooted Christian Schools is committed to bridging the gap by identifying children with the greatest need—those who would otherwise be left behind. Through the dedicated work of our team on the ground, and in partnership with child sponsors in the U.S., we provide these students with access to a high-quality, Christ-centered education that nurtures the whole child—academically, spiritually, and emotionally.
These students are sponsored by individuals and families across the U.S. Through this sponsorship program, we walk alongside each child in a community where they are deeply known, loved, and supported.
