Dave and Frankie Galaway have been married for over 45 years and live in Southern California. They are parents to two married children and proud grandparents to three.
Since 2008, Dave and Frankie have carried a deep love for the people of Gulu, Uganda. As one Ugandan pastor said, “Their hearts have been knit to the land.” Through their obedience and faith, God has done remarkable work in both Gulu and the United States. Rooted Ministries stands as a testament to His faithfulness—a God who calls His people higher and pours out a love that heals and restores.
Dave brings over 45 years of experience as the retired owner of a successful HVAC company, built on a solid background in construction. He oversees construction, operations, and finances at Rooted Ministries with the same integrity, dedication, and care that define his professional and personal life. Affectionately known in Gulu as Papa Dave, he carries the heart of a father for the students at Rooted Christian Schools.
Frankie has more than 20 years of experience in women’s ministry and inner healing. Her deep love for Jesus and genuine compassion for people have uniquely equipped her to lead and minister to women and children—both in Gulu and in Orange County, California.Together, Dave and Frankie believe that Rooted Christian School is called to raise up a generation of Christ-centered leaders in Uganda—young people with strong faith, strong values, and the education to transform their communities and their nation.
